About

Grace Summers is a 20-year-old visual artist based in lutruwita (Tasmania), currently engaged in her studies for a Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in Photography.

Her practice is deeply anchored in a continuous journey of self-discovery, characterised by profound and intentional engagement with the natural world, the significance of specific locations, and the rich tapestry of diverse cultural backgrounds. Through this exploration, she seeks to uncover deeper meanings and connections that inform her understanding of herself and her art.

In her recent project, Vessels of a Breathing Place (2025), Grace investigates the connection to place by immersing herself in the Tamar Wetlands, situated just outside Launceston, reflecting on the dynamic relationship between environment and identity.
